Make Shipping and Returns Easier for Shopping Agents to Understand
How to turn vague policy pages into clear, consistent purchase information.
Use one source of truth
Do not publish conflicting return windows or shipping thresholds across product pages, FAQs, checkout, and policy pages. Decide which system owns each value and update every presentation from that source.
State the decision facts directly
Include destinations served, processing time, delivery estimates, free-shipping thresholds, return window, item-condition requirements, fees, exclusions, and the actual return process.
Link policies from the product journey
A policy hidden only in a footer is technically present but commercially weak. Put concise policy summaries near the purchase decision and link to the full terms.
Monitor policy drift
Recheck policy pages after theme, logistics, marketplace, or app changes. The most damaging inconsistency is often introduced by an integration rather than a deliberate edit.
