Roam
Your travels, coloured in.
A private map of the places you have explored. Switch tracking on and Roam fills in supported U.S. Census ZIP Code Areas as you move. Anywhere else in the world, add countries and cities by hand.
In TestFlight beta — not on the App Store yet. No Roam account, developer cloud, advertising, or third-party analytics. Apple services process what MapKit, Core Location, and StoreKit require.
The app
The same map, at six levels of zoom.
Why it exists
Detailed enough to be interesting. Private enough to keep.
Watch coverage grow
Visited ZIP Code Areas and countries accumulate into a map that feels tangible.
Choose permission deliberately
A staged location flow explains foreground and background access before you opt in.
Share the summary
Create aggregate coverage cards or export your data when you choose.
How it works
Four steps, and one of them is optional.
- 01
Choose how much location access to grant.
- 02
Travel while Roam matches samples against bundled geographic boundaries.
- 03
Review, export, or share aggregate coverage on your terms.
Privacy and trust
Location history is the most sensitive data you own.
No Roam account, developer cloud, advertising, or third-party analytics. Apple services process what MapKit, Core Location, and StoreKit require.

For curious travelers who want a personal coverage map without handing their saved history to a travel social network.
Roam is deliberately not
ZIP Code Areas are Census approximations, not postal delivery boundaries. Automatic tracking requires location permission.
